This summer campers have learned about worldwide missions as they heard how Center for Global Impact (CGI) seeks to bring the Good News of Jesus to those in the grip of poverty and bondage. CGI does this practically by providing a pathway out of poverty through education, vocational training and business development. Primarily working in Cambodia, many of those they serve are victims of — or vulnerable to — human trafficking.

CGI’s representative, Elizabeth Derico, has been sharing about the work CGI is doing in Cambodia with our campers throughout the summer. Elizabeth has been representing the work of CGI in the United States since 2015. Last summer she traveled to Cambodia to personally experience and share in the ministry there. Her excitement is contagious as she shares with our campers how God is working to change lives and hearts around the world.

We are not be collecting an offering during our camp sessions this year. Instead, we ask that our campers, their families, and you consider supporting this mission during check-in/check-out (or here on-line) in one of these ways:

  1. $5.00 to cover the cost of a Bible for a CGI student.
  2. $15.00 to cover the cost of a water filter that will give clean drinking water to an entire family.
  3. $20.00 to cover the cost of both a Bible and water filter to meet both a physical and spiritual need.

We encourage you to check out CGI at centerforglobalimpact.org to find out more!
